FAQs

Do I have to have cash for the market?

You do not have to have cash as a form of payment at the market. All vendors accept cash as a form of payment, and MOST vendors accept credit. In the event you do not have cash, and the vendor does not accept cards, you can buy MARKET TOKENS at the information booth with your card, and the market tokens will act as cash at the market. With our token program, all forms of payment can be accepted at market. (Note: you cannot pay for tokens via the “tap” method or Apple Pay. Please bring a physical form of payment)

Can I bring my dog to market?

We love dogs! But we ask that you please adhere to the following rules that pertain to dogs at market;

 - Dogs must be on a SHORT LEASH. No retractable leashes, or long leashes. Dogs should be next to you at all times.
- Please pick up after your dog. We are in a high trafficked parking lot, not a dog park.
- Well behaved dogs only. If your dog is seen to show aggression or gets in a fight at the market, we have the right to ask you to not return to the market.
- Practice dog etiquette at the market. Ask if your dog can sniff another dog, ask if the other dog is friendly, don’t let your dog jump on strangers, etc.
- You are responsible for your dog
- Please remember that not everyone is a dog person

WHERE ARE THE AVOCADOS/BANANAS/FRUIT/ETC?

At the grocery store! Our farmers markets are producer-only which means that all the farmers at our market actually are local farmers who come from a 150 mile radius of the market. We do not allow resellers or distributors at our market, so the only produce you will find is what is grown right here in North Texas on a seasonal basis. Talk to your farmers about what is in season.

Is the market open rain or shine?

You bet it is!!!! Both of our farmers market locations are open rain or shine. If the weather becomes severe, we will cancel the market. The best place to see updates on cancellations are on our Instagram page @goodlocalmarkets or on our Facebook Page.
